Monogram 1/72 Panavia Tornado

The Panavia Tornado was developed by a joint British, German, and Italian aerospace consortium to create a modern multi-role jet fighter.  The Tornado first flew in 1974 and entered service in 1979.  It remains in service with numerous air forces today.  It features 2 crew, twin engines, and a variable geometry wing.  

The Monogram kit is from 1982 and required a lot of work on the seams in the fuselage, air intakes, and tail.  It is painted in Operation Iraqi Freedom colors, airbrushed with Tamiya acrylic light grey and dark grey for the nose cone.  The bombs are painted NATO flat green.  After applying the decals, a coat of Pedge/Future was hand-painted on.
